Oh politics

I am kind of tired of politics… and that is rare for me. Ok. Maybe I am not tired of politics. I like politics but I just do not like the two main politicians who are running for the president of the United States.

I wish there was a candidate who was running for what the United States is… you know… and stay true to the original vision although the mechanisms and tools have changed. There are ‘true truths’ that work through all ages and centuries and decades.

I am voting for Alan Keyes but the chances of him getting elected are slim. He is too ‘christian’ (small c) and too black for America. Too many Americans are ignorant of what the United States is… they only vote by impressions, feelings, and their opinion of the current state of affairs. Ironically the USA gives them this ability. Instead people should know history, read the Declaration of Independence, read the Constitution, read the writings of the visionaries or ‘founders’, and understand before they vote.

Regardless of it all, one thing remains true. “The kings heart is in the hand of the Lord, like the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes.” The God of heaven and earth will use evil and just rulers to serve His purposes… of that I have no doubt. Therefore it matters much less who gets in to office than it does that we recognize who ‘sets up kings and deposes them’ (Dan 2:21).
